New Musical Designed to Educate Public About Autism

This article provides some interesting information about a musical developed to educate people about autism.  Included in the article are common symptoms associated with being autistic, as well as some common misconceptions.  Autism is much more pervasive than previously thought, and like other mental health issues, the severity of the symptoms can vary widely.  Also, autism is just one of a number of different mental health difficulties that fall under the category of "developmental disorders."  The article is worth a quick read, and here is a link to the Autism Society of America.  There is also a fascinating chapter on autism in Oliver Sacks' book An Anthropologist on Mars.
